Who are we?

Crow Creek Farm LLC is a Corso family enterprise in the Peoria, Ill., area. We're entering our fifth season of growing vegetables and herbs free of synthetic pesticides and herbicides.

Why buy local?

Buying fresh local food is the best way to avoid eating processed food, with added sugar, fat and preservatives. The majority of Americans' food travels on average 1500 to 2000 miles, and by the time it arrives on your dinner plate, it can hardly be called "fresh." Buying locally grown food puts your money back in the area's economy. The farmers market offers you the opportunity to know where your food comes from - to know your farmer!

Why eat organic?

Organic foods are grown without the use of irradiation, synthetic chemicals, pesticides and sewage sludge. Organic produce tends to have higher cancer-fighting antioxidants and possibly even a higher vitamin and mineral content, studies show.
